01
Agreement and eligibility
These terms form an agreement between autofinn (“autofinn”, “we”, “us”) and the person or business that registers for, accesses or uses the autofinn website and platform (“you”). By registering, subscribing or using the service, you agree to these terms and the linked Payment Terms and Privacy Policy.
You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement and authorised to act for the business you register. autofinn supports companies, partnerships, organisations and sole proprietors operating in their personal capacity.
02
The autofinn service
autofinn provides business-administration tools for customer records, quotations, approvals, invoices, documents, payment links, payment records, branding, team access and related communications. Features may change as the platform develops.
autofinn is not an accounting, tax, legal, banking or financial-advice service. You remain responsible for checking documents, tax treatment, prices, customer information and the legal or regulatory requirements that apply to your business.
Where AI-assisted features are offered, their output is a draft. You must review and approve it before sending or relying on it.
03
Registration, activation and account security
- Registration information and supporting documents must be accurate, current and lawfully supplied.
- Access may remain inactive while autofinn reviews a business registration. Approval is not guaranteed.
- You must protect passwords, restrict team access to authorised people and notify support promptly of suspected misuse.
- Actions performed through your account are treated as authorised unless you notified us of compromise without unreasonable delay.
04
Subscriptions and platform fees
Most workspace features require an active monthly or annual subscription. Current prices, recurring billing, the annual discount and autofinn’s transaction share are described in the Pricing page and Payment Terms.
If a subscription is inactive, past due or cancelled, access may be limited to billing and support. Fees already incurred remain payable.
05
Your business and customer data
You retain ownership of the business content you upload or create. You give autofinn a limited right to host, process, reproduce and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use customer, director, employee and other personal information entered into autofinn. You must provide any notices and obtain any permissions required by law.
Public quotation and invoice links should be shared only with intended recipients. Although the tokens are designed to be difficult to guess, anyone who receives a valid link may be able to view the relevant customer-facing document.
06
Acceptable use
You may not use autofinn to:
- break the law, facilitate fraud, mislead customers or process prohibited transactions;
- upload malicious code, interfere with security, probe other tenants or attempt unauthorised access;
- send spam, unlawful direct marketing, abusive content or content that infringes another person’s rights;
- reverse engineer, resell or misuse the service except where expressly agreed in writing; or
- use Paystack in a way that violates its applicable merchant terms or restricted-business rules.
07
Payments and customer relationships
Online payments are processed by Paystack and participating financial institutions. autofinn does not store complete card details and does not control bank authorisation, settlement delays, reversals or chargeback decisions.
Your business—not autofinn—is the supplier to your customer. You remain responsible for the accuracy and fulfilment of invoices, delivery of goods or services, customer support, refunds, returns, taxes, disputes and chargebacks.
08
Availability and changes
We aim to keep autofinn reliable and secure, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, provider failures, internet outages, security events or circumstances outside reasonable control may interrupt the service.
We may improve, replace, limit or discontinue features. Where a material change negatively affects a paid service, we will provide reasonable notice where practical.
09
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the platform, investigate suspected fraud or security issues, comply with law, address unpaid fees or enforce these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve it.
You may request cancellation through authenticated support. On termination, access ends subject to any paid-through period, legal retention duties and reasonable data-export arrangements then available.
10
Intellectual property
autofinn and its licensors own the platform software, interface, brand, documentation and other service materials. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your internal business operations while your account remains authorised.
11
Disclaimers and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, autofinn is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunities, loss caused by incorrect user data, customer disputes, third-party payment decisions or events outside our reasonable control. Where liability may lawfully be limited, autofinn’s aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the subscription fees you paid to autofinn during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12
Governing law and disputes
South African law governs these terms. Before starting formal proceedings, you and autofinn should try in good faith to resolve a dispute through the authenticated support portal or contact page. If it cannot be resolved, the dispute may be brought before a South African court with jurisdiction.
These terms must be read consistently with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act and, where applicable, the Consumer Protection Act.
13
Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal or operational changes. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes will be communicated where reasonably practical. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Questions or formal notices can be submitted through the autofinn contact page. Existing customers should use the authenticated support portal.
